I put up a 2m x 5m bamboo screen at the bottom of the garden yesterday. It looks a lot better than I expected it would look and actually blends in quite well with the new fence on the side.
While I was down there, I was trying to clear some of the weeds away from the fence so I could get in to position the screening and I made a discovery!!!
I kept trying to dig into the ground with the fork but I kept hitting stones. It didn’t matter where I tried down there, it was always the same. So then after I put up the screen, I got the spade out and tried to scrape some of it away and underneath about 3 inches of soil/weeds/nettle roots, there is some kind of path!!! 
However, I can’t seem to find any joins so I don’t think it’s paving stones, and I am beginning to wonder if I’ve come across an old cement shed base or something. Bearing in mind that the house is over 100 years old there’s probably been a lot of changes to this garden over the years so it is possible.
I’m really excited about it and can’t wait to see what’s under there. I felt a little like Indiana Jones last night lol. If there is something substantial under there then that will save me a lot of time, money and work

The current one for August is really nice. There are instructions for both PC and MAC users.
