My strawberry plants finally arrived this morning. This is from my order of 2nd October mind you and I have to say I am not at all pleased. The plants have their roots wrapped up in a plastic bag and when I opened the bag there was a complete absence of water or moisture of any kind. The roots were BONE DRY and the only other thing in the bag was the dry dirt that had fallen off the roots! Perhaps whatever part of the country they were grown on was suffering from a period of drought (highly doubtful given the current flooding in multiple parts of the country) but I don’t know how else to explain the condition of these plants that I paid good money for. The icing on the cake was the enclosed invoice which was dated 17th November. Just a reminder that today – the day the box arrived – is the 28th November.
Needless to say I picked up the phone only to find that they only work Mon-Fri, so I emailed them and await their reply.
Do I name and shame this company here and now or wait to see what kind of response I get?
