Even though the garden looks like a frozen tundra, I ordered some vegetables today anyway.
Asparagus crowns
Jerusalem artichokes
Globe artichokes
4 different types of potato
2 apple trees
I’ve never deliberately grown potatoes before, though they have appeared in the garden at times, so this will be an experience for me. I don’t eat a lot of potatoes either but I think I might if I grow my own as they will taste better. Arran Pilot (Scottish new potatoes) Blue Danube which are blue skinned, Charlotte salad potatoes, and Maris Piper main crop, since my mum likes these and claims they make the best chips lol
The asparagus won’t give me any crop until next year so that’s always put me off, but if I don’t plant them I’ll never get a crop at all! The apple trees may give me a few apples this year – Braeburn apples and Russet apples since they are my favs.
Still deciding on seeds to buy but those things above needed to be ordered now.
