I sacrificed one bag of potatoes when I was working in the garden on Tuesday just to see if there were any potatoes in it yet as some of them were flowering and they were planted on April 1st.   I say sacrificed since once you empty it out there’s no going back, and there were only 17 tiny potatoes in it, so they were nowhere near being ready even though they are “earlies”  I ate them and they were very good – they are the “Ayrshires” I mentioned before, there was just not enough of them!  I also had some rhubarb from the garden too and made crumble.

I also tidied up the garden a little, tied up the raspberries as they were drooping onto the path, tied up the peas, transplanted the zucchini, pumpkins and corn that I had in the greenhouse, and planted more seeds.  I was trying to take advantage of the nice weather before it changed again.  It’s a little difficult to get motivated this year due to all the rain we have had and there are so many things that need doing still.
