I now have my first walk-in greenhouse (well I ordered one anyway). I’ve never had a greenhouse before and I can’t get the images of old men pottering about muttering about their onions out of my head. Anyway, I did have one of those mini greenhouse things with the plastic cover but I realised if I wanted to do it seriously, then I should try to get a proper one. Things that have put me off having a greenhouse previously are mainly to do with cost and the scary sharp glass which even when it’s whole is still bloody sharp and dangerous. So I have plastic instead of glass, and I got a good Bank Holiday deal on it, which is the main reason why I decided to bite the bullet and go for it. I bought it from Tesco but there was a good reason for doing so. They had a 20% off sale for the Bank Holiday weekend and I got to use my clubcard vouchers that I’ve been hoarding up for just such an occasion… and while I was at it, I got a water butt too!
