My neighbour handed me a zucchini last night and that might seem a little boring to a lot of people who are used to buying them regularly from the supermarket but this was something else entirely.
It was FIRM. It was simply a fresh vegetable just picked from the garden and it doesn’t matter where you shop you will not find this level of freshness in your zucchinis or any other vegetable. The difference was astounding. I bought some on Thursday night in the supermarket and I compared them to this one and there was no comparison whatsoever. Even though I aim to buy the firmess, freshest looking veg, and even though the supermarkets claim to deliver from farm to fridge in super fast time, it’s clearly nowhere near fast enough to compete with fresh from the garden.
On a sidenote my “Demolition Kit” just arrived. It had Demolition Kit plastered all over the box so the courier was looking at me a little funny. heh
