Well what can I say, I had another attempt at perfecting the malt loaf recipe I wanted to use at Christmas and again it failed. Basically it will not rise.  I know the kitchen is cold, the whole bloody house is cold! and it’s freezing outside but I’ve not had problems with other doughs.  This time I added extra yeast to it and left it to rise for FOUR HOURS and still nothing.  In the end I decided to leave it overnight and if nothing happened well no great loss.

Even though I felt bad last night after dinner, guess what I did tonight?  Yup I had the same thing again – well there were leftovers and I hate to waste food.  I had to lie down afterwards as my stomach did not feel good so it serves me right.
