Today I went to the yoga class that I found out about last week, and it was pretty good, not too strenuous and just what I needed. The venue was easy to find and the parking was free! Later on I picked mum up and we went to IKEA and WFM as I wanted to get more avocados and some L-glutamine (to help with the P90X). This time instead of her usual decaf she had a smoothie (yay). I was out for the rest of the day so when I came back I knew I had Day 2 of P90X to look forward to. This one was the workout from hell and by this time I was beginning to feel the effects of yesterday and the yoga today. This one seemed to consist of lunges and squats and jumping – an HOUR of lunges and squats and jumping! And I only just finished it now at 10.30pm and had to make myself some kind of “peak recovery drink” since I can’t use the one they recommend as it’s not vegan. I mixed some pomegranate juice and soy protein powder together and just drank that. It’s not the best because the powder doesn’t dissolve in the juice but I was all I could think of at short notice and gulped it down anyway. Tomorrow assuming I can lift myself out of bed, I have “Shoulders and Arms” to look forward to. I should say that when I got up this morning I didn’t feel too bad at all ie no muscle stiffness, but I really didn’t want to do the workout in the evening, however I talked myself into it and I’m glad I did as I feel better now.
oh and yesterday even with all that exercise and vacuuming the entire house with the new vacuum cleaner, all I had to “eat” was a smoothie and an apple all day. When it came to dinner time, I just wasn’t hungry so I didn’t bother having anything! Weird
